Data Central icon

Open your Data Central application with the above icon on your desktop.

 

Enter your username.

Enter your password.

Note:

User name is set up by the system Admin.

You will be given a temporary password, the password is case sensitive. They can be any length and any combination of letters and numbers.

The first time you sign in, change your password. 

Upon opening Data Central, this message will appear if there has been an update since the last time you logged in. Simply click OK. 

CHANGE PASSWORD

Under Login Tools select Change Password.

Type in your current password.

Type in your new password.

Type in your new password again.

Click OK.

 Passwords are case sensitive! They can be any length and any combination of letters and/or numbers. 

MENUS  

The Main Menu(s) in Data Central display a list of activities in the Activity Selector panel under the Activity Selector tab at the left of the screen. The activities listed are available to you based on your login rights.  Please note, the names and images displayed here in this Guide may differ from what you see in your system as they are configurable by the system Administrator.

The Menu Bar at the top of the screen provides access to various functions that you will find handy.

  • Data Tools

Data Central automatically updates roughly every 6 minutes from the server.

Refresh All References will bring in all new data available.

  •  Login Tools

You can log in as a different user if you have multiple logins assigned (ex. You have both a Unit and Multi Unit login). You must first close all open work panes to switch login.

You can change your password.

Change Server Address should be used only when told! If you change server address incorrectly, Data Central will stop working.

  •  Presentation

Skin will let you choose your own color settings.

  •  Window

Options here will let you set the layout of your work panes.

Close All will close all open work panes. You will be warned if you have any data that hasn’t been sent to the Server.
